Opening

Namur is an international dynamic and collaborates with some cities to which Namur is bound thanks to agreements of international cooperation : Bourg-en-Bresse (France), Pécs (Hungary), Cluj-Napoca (Romania), Korolyvov (Russia) and Tierp (Sweden) in Europe ; Quebec (Canada) and Hue (Vietnam) in the framework of the French-speaking world. Several subjects of collaboration are put into practice :

• Teaching and schooling, work mobility
• Cultural practices, libraries, tourism
• Technological researches and develoment
• Health

The Commissionership of International Relations of Namur ensures the proper functioning of the international relations, in collaboration with the Information and Communication Service (SIC) which is in charge of the welcome and the protocol in the town hall and during the official missions.
